Why keyboard is not arranged alphabetically?

This concept is taken from the manual typewriter. Before manual typewriter used to have the keys arranged in alphabetical order but users started typing so fast that the keys were getting damaged. Thus, to slow down the typing speed and avoid key damaging, the key were positioned randomly. The same concept was followed for the keyboard as well.
