Why is the sky blue and not violet?

As we know that the sunlight is made up of a spectrum of 7 colours in which red colour has the highest wavelength and violet and blue colour has the least wavelength. Blue colour has a bit greater wavelength than violet colour. Still, Our eyes are more sensitive to blue colour instead of violet colour. Thus, the sky looks blue in colour, not violet.
