What is a Blog?

What is a blog?

So what is a blog? Many people are still confused about what a blog is. Well, let's dive into what a blog is all about.

There are several points of view to answer what a blog is. Starting from broad things too technical things. In general, a blog is a type of website. An example is my blog. If blogger / Blogspot is a site owned by Google, then loudstudy.blogspot.com or the one now changing domains on loudstudy.com is the type of blogger site that I own/use. Do you now understand what a blog is? If not, continue reading. It's technically a little more confusing than blogging. Blog technically stands for the web log in English.

From the meaning of the word, actually, the word "blog" is a verb that means writing on a web blog. Later, the blog was defined as a type of website/website whose contents were entered/loaded based on time sequence and explained in reverse order by the owner. Upside down? Yes, blogs display the most recent to the oldest content

Have you answered what a blog is?

A blog usually has a certain theme. Like my blog, this theme is about Blogspot tips. Blogs also contain text, images, sound, video, and so on. Not infrequently, people use blogs as their diaries. Along with the development of information technology, the development of blogs is also growing rapidly. In 2007 alone there were more than 120 million blogs worldwide.

Wow!

Then what is meant by a blog?

If it is still unclear, I will briefly explain what a blog is again.

The blog is short for weblog, which is a type of site/web whose contents are loaded based on time sequence, the contents of which carry certain themes.

Just as newspapers are published every day with a certain headline, so are blogs. Serves as a source of information related to themes that are raised and updated regularly.

What is the difference between a blog and the web?

After we know what a blog is, it's time for us to find out what is the difference between a blog and a website. As explained above, a blog is a type of website. So what are the advantages? The advantages may be relative, but there is a difference between the two.

Here are the differences between blogs and websites:

Content

The most obvious difference between blogs and websites is of course the content or content that is loaded. Blogs are updated more frequently with fresh new information every day. Blog content is arranged in order of time, the newest information is at the top and the oldest is at the bottom.

Syndication

This means that people can read blog content without having to visit the blog URL address. For example, if I want to read my article about what a blog is, I don't need to visit momovista.blogspot.com first. I could have read it because I found the article when I searched for "the meaning of blog" on a search engine like Google. This kind of syndication is caused because the content is updated every time so that it is possible to be tracked by search engines is greater than the website.

Conversation

The difference between a blog and a website is conversation. Unlike the blog website, it is written by the blog owner in his own language style (blogger) and communicates directly with blog visitors. There are many greetings like you, us, friends, etc., which are expected to get answers in the form of comments.

I think it's quite clear what a blog is and how it differs from a website.
