What are prime numbers?

The natural numbers which have only two factors i.e. 1 and the number itself are called prime numbers.

There are infinite prime numbers.

2 is the smallest prime number.

2 is also the only even prime number.

The set of prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 ...

Note: 1 is neither prime nor composite number.
