Protection: It acts as an armor to protect soft parts of our body like the brain, heart, etc.

Support: It provides a base to the muscles at joining.

Blood cell production: It helps in the formation of red blood corpuscles.

Storage: It acts as the storage of minerals and fulfills any mineral deficiency whenever needed to the body like calcium, phosphorus, etc.
