What is Synephrine?

A common drug used to promote faster weight loss, synephrine has quickly risen to popularity, being called the ultimate alternative to ephedrine. While there is some debate about its effectiveness, it is still legal, and many tout its benefits worldwide.

Synephrine can be found in bitter orange extract or citrus Aurantium, and it has been sold in a patented form called Advantra-Z. It is typically administered in doses of 250mg when associated with successful results. But is it really up to the job?

The Effectiveness of Synephrine

It depends in part on who you talk to. Scientists will tell you that they would like to do more research on synephrine before making definite recommendations. But case reports say that it burns fat, increases energy, enhances metabolism, promotes weight loss, and increases body heat. But as always, we want to know how it works.

How Synephrine Promotes Weight Loss

Synephrine is considered to be a major adrenic amine that works by stimulating the beta-3 receptors with minimal impact on the other receptor sites. It increases metabolism in other words without targeting or affecting the heart rate or blood pressure, which is the problem with most stimulants and ephedrine. This helps users to avoid side effects and serious cardiovascular risk. But while synephrine is presented as a relatively safe alternative, it is not for everyone.

Who Should Avoid Synephrine?

Synephrine is still a stimulant, comparable to caffeine. So if you are sensitive to caffeine, it may cause jitters, insomnia, an accelerated heart rate, and other unpleasant problems. In addition, if you have a medical condition such as heart disease, I would personally recommend that you proceed with caution and consult your doctor before using any synephrine or other stimulant-based supplements. But if you are prepared to use synephrine, you may as well use the best.

The Advantage of Advantra-Z

Advantra-Z is a patented version of the increasingly popular synephrine. Synephrine is great as far as I can tell at least. But why settle for good when great is available to you? Advantra-Z specifically works to cut out even milder side effects while still helping your body to properly metabolize fat and eliminate excess weight.

It has been studied at the McGill Nutrition and Food Science Centre at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and at the Georgetown University Medical Center. Experts at these two major labs have stated in fact that Advantra Z may be “the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra.” I’ll leave you with this, and as always, it’s up to you to decide if synephrine is right for you.
